1. Ancient Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt Scavenger Hunt - this is a wonderful collaborative project between the 6th grade Social Studies teachers and the Library Media teacher.  Students learn how to use the library, reference books such as an atlas, an almanac, and an encyclopedia while learning facts about Ancient Egypt.  The lesson plan and standards are found at  http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dfrm4t9q_18cp9zsx.  The scavenger hunt is found at  http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dfrm4t9q_14f4nsnk and the answers are found at http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dfrm4t9q_16ghggx5.
